Who is Dong Chen?

I am Dong (not easily pronounced in English. GO for it). I was raised in Beijing-China, seasoned in Sichuan (Szechwan)(with a touch of burn in the throat a dash of numbness on the tongue), then aged in Utah.

I am a passion-driven photographer/Cinematographer. I enjoy capturing the love at weddings, the personalities in portraits, and the problem-solving of commercial shoots. I believe the best photo and video is a collaborative effort with a little fun mixed in, and cannot be re-created. I love capturing touches of laughter, raw emotions, and moments that we may never regain.

My professionalism allows me to carry my aesthetic nature into work. Undivided attention to details unfolded to nature. I enjoy recreating the unforgettable stories that we all know and love.

My mom used to say “Whatever you do, do it 100%. When you work, work. When you laugh, laugh. When you eat, eat like it’s your last meal. Not everything can be perfect, but the higher you aim the more rewarding the results will be.”
